The Border Collie Pet Programme

Do you have a Border Collie that literally dances on your nose?

Does it herd cats, nip the children and chase cars, bicycles and joggers?

Does it stare at you, then completely freaks out, barks incessantly and is extremely sensitive to noise?

Or is your Border Collie from a shelter and reacts with panic to environmental stimuli?

Have you tried everything from agility training to ball games to dog yoga?

Then this programm is for you!

The Border Collie is a working dog. It has been bred for centuries to herd sheep in rough terrain. As a result, it has developed certain skills very well.

These special abilities, which make it one of the best herding dogs in the world, can cause difficulties in everyday life.

The Border Collie as a relaxed house and family dog?

Yes, this is possible if you adapt to its special abilities and needs and accommodate it in terms of training, exercise and stimulation.

If you have adopted a Border Collie from an animal shelter, you may have other tasks ahead of you. Your dog may have a history of abuse, have had bad experiences or have developed questionable behaviour.

I have developed my ‘BC Pet Programme’ for all these cases.

‘Pet’ stands for house / family animal or favourite animal.

In five steps, I will show you how to turn your Border Collie into a relaxed house and family dog without having to hike for 10 hours a day or complete agility courses.

I have been working with Border Collies from animal shelters that are kept as family dogs in private households for over 10 years. These include retired working dogs, confiscated dogs and traumatised dogs.

These dogs need a framework and stimulation that suits their special abilities and needs.

I work with you and your dog online and offline (France, 24 Dordogne).

My programme consists of five sessions.

In addition to two fixed programme points, the other three appointments are individually tailored to your needs.

In a free initial consultation, we will take a look at where you are and what you need.

I will explain exactly which steps we should take and which areas we can work on, tailored to your needs and circumstances.

I will accompany you online between our appointments and will be available to answer any questions you may have in a timely manner.

1:1 support for you and your Border Collie – tailored to your individual needs

The programme comprises 6 sessions.

Border Collies are special dogs with specific needs and requirements.

Unfortunately, they are often misunderstood and incorrectly exercised or trained, which creates more problems than it solves.

This means even more stress for both dog and owner. A vicious circle of frustration, anger and helplessness begins.

I will support you in creating a stable foundation, understanding your BC better, exercising it in a species-appropriate manner and show you how relaxation beyond cage confinement works.

We look at what staring means, why a BC is not a retriever, why ball games and agility are often counterproductive, and much more.

Then nothing will stand in the way of a career in agility or just as a happy family pet.

You boo your first session: start with a session to get to know each other, I will introduce you to the individual programme points and we will see what suits you or whether you need something else.

The first hour is free of charge. After that, you can decide whether you want to work with me or not.

The whole programme is pointless if we are not a good fit. That is why the programme is not easy to book.

The Trust Technique and the BC Games are an integral part of the programme. The other three sessions can be individually designed and adapted to your needs. And of course, we can also extend the programme if desired.

The duration of the entire programme is up to you and I am available via Messenger.
